When I opened up my Gmail today, I had a new look and feel to absorb. Google has decided to selectively sort your email for you into tabs. You can keep or toss the changes and even move senders between tabs.
Gmail now offers you five tabs across the top of your email box. It’s starts with three, but you can expand to five. The new Gmail Tabs are:
- Primary
- Social
- Promotions
- Updates
- Forums
Changing what emails arrive at which tab is simply a matter of dragging and dropping.
This change will also modify your inbox on your iPhone or Android device. It appears only your primary tab will show up on your mobile device
